A Philadelphia woman faces a slew of drug offenses related to a first grade student bringing 15 bags of heroin to school.
Officials told NBC10 the young boy brought packets of heroin to William Cramp Elementary School on the 3400 block of N Mascher Street in the Kensington section of the city Tuesday morning. The boy showed the heroin to other students in the lunchroom around 11 a.m. and the students informed school officials, according to investigators.
No children were hurt.
Police launched an investigation into the incident and wound up zeroing in on Latoria Faulk of Stenton Avenue. The 26-year-old is friends with the boy's mother, said investigators.
Investigators search Faulk's vehicle, which was parked outside the boy's home, and found eight bundles of heroin containing 14 packets each.
A Philadelphia judge arraigned Faulk Wednesday on six counts including conspiracy, corruption of minors and drug charges. She left jail Thursday after posting 10 percent of $50,000 bail, according to court records.
