Hard Rock Plans for Musical Museum in A.C.

Hard Rock CEO hopes this will give people a new reason to visit Atlantic City

A musical history museum with plenty of rock `n' roll memorabilia is a key part of Hard Rock International's plans for a small new casino in Atlantic City.

Company CEO James Allen says Hard Rock owns the world's largest collection of rock memorabilia. He says the museum planned as part of the company's $465 million casino at the south end of the Boardwalk should give people a new reason to visit Atlantic City.

Hard Rock, which is owned by Florida's Seminole Indian tribe, is the first company to apply to build a smaller casino under a new law permitting them in New Jersey.

It would start at 208 rooms and eventually expand to 850.
