Police say he fled from officers after he was arrested for a domestic dispute.

Police say a handcuffed western Pennsylvania man had to be pulled from a river after he fled from officers following his arrest in a domestic dispute.

Westmoreland County dispatchers say the Lower Burrell man was arrested late Saturday. Officials say he was wearing handcuffs when he jumped into the Allegheny River around midnight.

The man was pulled from the river and transported to a hospital. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

Authorities did not immediately release the man's name.
