NYC's Halal Guys Sets Opening Date for First Pennsylvania Restaurant

One of New York's most popular food carts turned global brand has set an opening date for its first brick-and-mortar restaurant in Pennsylvania in King of Prussia.

The Manhattan-based The Halal Guys, a concept known for its menu of American Halal food, gyro sandwiches, chicken-and-rice platters and "secret white sauce," in June announced it would be coming to the Valley Forge Shopping Center, located less than two miles from the King of Prussia Mall.

That location now has an opening date.

On Saturday, Oct. 1, residents of King of Prussia and its neighboring communities will be able to get a taste of the New York's phenomenon's dishes during a grand opening that will take place between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m.

The first 50 guests in line will receive a free entree platter of their choice, and the first 200 guests in line will receive The Halal Guys T-shirts.
