Guilty Plea in Phila. Police Officer's Death

The officer died in a crash in Port Richmond nearly three years ago.

A Bucks County man entered a guilty plea Monday in the death of a Philadelphia Police officer.

William Foster of Levittown was fleeing police in a stolen Camaro when he crashed into a patrol car driven by Sergeant Timothy Simpson. Simpson died from injuries suffered in that fiery crash.

It happened in November of 2008 at Aramingo and Allegheny Avenues in the Port Richmond section of the city.

Following the guilty plea, the judge sentenced Foster to 19-to-40 years in prison.

Sergeant Simpson was 46-years old and a 20-year veteran of the force. He left a wife and three children.
