Police in Schuylkill County say a 12-year-old girl has lost part of her leg after being struck by a train.
The Pottsville Republican-Herald reports that she was struck by a Reading & Northern train in Mahanoy (MA'-ha-noy) City at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The girl was flown to a trauma hospital.
No further information is immediately available.
