Girl, 17, Attacked in Fairmount Park

A teen told police she fought off a man who tried to sexually assault her Monday morning while she was jogging in Fairmount Park.

The victim, 17, said she was running near Devil's Pool, at the mouth of Cresheim Creek, around 8:30 a.m. when the man attacked her and pulled her pants down, according to police.

The teen fought off her attacker and ran, police said.

She didn't suffer any serious injuries, cops said.

Police said they did not have a detailed description of the man and were interviewing people who were in that same area of the park Monday morning to see if anyone had more information that might lead them to the attacker.
