Grinch steals gifts, money, pills from Cumberland County home, cops say

It was a tough Christmas for a South Jersey family after a Grinch stole their Christmas.

A Cumberland County mother was left trying to explain to her daughter what happened to some of her gifts after someone broke into their home and took Christmas gifts, according to Bridgeton Police.

The alleged burglary happened between 4 and 8:25 p.m. on Cherry Street in Bridgeton, cops said.

Almost $800 worth of items were taken from the home including a laptop, gift cards, hooded sweatshirts, T-shirts and a blue Nintendo DS along with four games, according to police.

Besides the items take, several Percocet pills and some money were also taken, cops said.
