Georgetown Basketball Players Assist Passengers of Overturned SUV After Collision With Team Bus

Members of the Georgetown University men's basketball team assisted the passengers of an SUV that rolled off the road after colliding with the team's bus Monday afternoon.

The Hoyas were traveling to Pennsylvania for Tuesday night's game against the national champion Villanova Wildcats when their bus collided with the SUV on Interstate 95 North near Maryland Route 100 outside of Baltimore, Georgetown athletic department spokesman Mex Carey said in an email.

Players then helped a woman and her teenage son in the overturned SUV, WTOP reported. There's no word on their injuries.

No players sustained major injuries, Carey said.

The bus company provided another bus for the Hoyas to continue their trip, according to the school.

The Hoyas play No. 2-ranked Villanova at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
