Wild Turkeys Take South Jersey — Again

A new group of 30 to 35 turkeys are taking over another Jersey town

More turkeys are making their way through another South Jersey neighborhood. Thankfully, this time they aren't attacking the homeowners -- or tricycles.

After seeing all the fowl mania that went on in Cherry Hill last week, residents of a Voorhees, N.J. neighborhood were worried to see close to 30 turkeys flocking around their homes.

"It was really frightening," said Kathy Moore after seeing the birds jump a fence and run through her yard.

Her husband grabbed the camcorder to record the spectacle -- just in case people wouldn't believe them.

"We've been here 13, 14 years and we've never seen anything like it," Moore said.

Unlike the gang of five large birds captured in Cherry Hill, this group isn't aggressive. They just seem to be taking a stroll through the neighborhood.

Animal control officers believe the turkeys are from a nearby farm. They didn't say if there were any plans to remove them from the development.
