Below is a full list of important travel closures and delays in the area due to Hurricane Irene. Check back for further updates as they become available.
NEW JERSEY:
- SB Garden State Pkwy: - at 8pm tonight the SB lanes are expected to be closed between Exit 98 in Wall into Cape May due to the impending storm
- SB RT-347: - beginning at 6pm, the SB lanes will be closed for emergency evacuations. Both sides of travel will be used for NB traffic.
- SB RT-47: between RT-55 and PACIFIC AVE - beginning at 6pm, the SB lanes will be closed for emergency evacuations. Both sides of travel will be used for NB traffic.
- Atlantic City Exwy: - until further notice all tolls will be suspended pursuant to an order by Governor Christie
- NB Garden State Pkwy: generally jammed Ocean City/Marmora (#25) to Atlantic City Exwy (#38) | between RT-72 (#63) and Waretown (#69) - road work expected to block the right lane - scheduled 9am-7pm | jammed approaching Toms River (#81) to past Toms River (#81)
- Garden State Pkwy: between RT-109/Cape May and Toms River (#81) - until further notice all tolls will be suspended pursuant to an order by Governor Christie
DELAWARE:
- SB Delaware RT-1: is closed at 146th St due to the evacuation of Ocean City, MD
- NB Delaware RT-1: slow Bus.Delaware RT-1/Milford to RT-10/Dover (#95) Del. RT-1: slow RT-1 Business to RT-10
- Lewes/Cape May: Cape May Lewes Ferry - the ferry has ceased operations until Monday morning weather permitting
MASS TRANSIT:
- SEPTA - no service - from 12am Sunday and lasting through the duration of the hurricane
- AMTRAK - no service - beginning at 5pm Saturday and lasting through the duration of the hurricane
- DART Route 305 Beach Bus - suspended service - service has been suspended today due to the impending storm
- DART - suspended service - there will be no DART service and no Paratransit services in New Castle, Kent, and Sussex Counties on Saturday and Sunday due to Hurricane Irene
- NEW JERSEY TRANSIT - no service - from 12pm Saturday and lasting through the duration of the hurricane
