Fuel Truck Overturns at Philadelphia International

Fuel tank did not ignite or rupture

There were a few tense moments at Philadelphia International Airport Tuesday afternoon after a fuel truck overturned on the tarmac.

The Aircraft Services International Group (ASIG) tanker rolled onto its side near several jet ways just before 1 p.m., officials said.

Luckily, the fuel tank didn't rupture or ignite.

Firefighters quickly doused the tanker with fire retardant foam to ensure there were no flare ups.

Flights into and out of the airport were temporarily suspended as the situation was brought under control.

No word on whether there were any injuries.
