Freedom-Liberty Battle Once Again

The Liberty-Freedom District XI playoff game is today at 12:00 p.m. at the BASD stadium.

The winner will advance to the PIAA state tournament playoffs.

As the higher seed, No. 2, Liberty (11-1) will be in home position. Freedom, 10-2, is the No. 4 seed.

School officials met this week with District 11 officials and Bethlehem police to discuss logistics for the rivals' second meeting this month.

During the November 1st contention, which the Liberty Hurricanes won 20-14, raucous fans caused problems that prompted discussion about improved security for future showdowns.

"Freedom High School parents and supporters blasted Liberty High School students and fans for behavior at Saturday's football game."

If you want to check out this rivalry on the gridiron, tickets are on sale at the Liberty Athletic Office today from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Admission for adults will $6.00… students and seniors will only pay $3.00.
