A freak accident took the life of an unidentified staff member Wednesday at Lower Pottsgrove Elementary School.
The employee, a member of the grounds crew, was killed when a lawn mower he was working on fell on him, officals said.
Police and an ambulance were dispatched around 12:15 p.m for a reported head injury, according to Lower Pottsgrove police Lt. Michael Foltz.
Foltz said that police will be conducting an investigation, but, as of now, the death is ruled accidental.
The school district is also investigating the incident. Information will be available to the school community as it becomes available.
The accident was not seen by the students.
