Former Pennsylvania Music Teacher Accused of Snapchatting Explicit Images to Students Learns Fate

A former Pennsylvania high school music teacher accused of sending explicit images to students via Snapchat has been sentenced to three to 23 months in jail.

The Morning Call reports 30-year-old David Borghesani, of Northampton, pleaded guilty to a corruption of minors charge last month and was sentenced Thursday.

Authorities say Whitehall police began an investigation in 2016 when Whitehall-Coplay School District administrators started receiving complaints about Borghesani.

Police say they discovered Borghesani had sent explicit images to three female students on the visual-messaging app. Investigators say Borghesani sent a video of himself masturbating to one girl and nude photos to the others.

Borghesani resigned from Whitehall High School in February.

Two of the victims testified Thursday. They said they've been ostracized because Borghesani was a popular teacher.
