The Montgomery County district attorney's office announced charges against Stephen Stace, 65, of Oreland, who they said took nude pictures of himself in his office at Penn State Abington.

He was charged Thursday with possession of child pornography, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors and other offenses.

Neither Stace nor his lawyer returned messages seeking comment. He retired in June after 27 years with the university.

In an arrest affidavit, police said Stace's home computer contained photos of the girl topless and images of nude young males.

"Stace admitted he took nude images of himself inside his office at Penn State Abington and sent these images to (the girl) from both his home and his office,'' a Montgomery County detective wrote.

The charging documents said the investigation began with a tip in August from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

A Penn State Abington spokesman said the university has cooperated fully with the investigation but declined further comment.
