Court officials say a status hearing has been indefinitely postponed in the civil lawsuit by former Penn State assistant football coach Mike McQueary.
The hearing had been scheduled for Tuesday in the Centre County Courthouse in Bellefonte.
McQueary is pursuing a defamation and whistleblower lawsuit against Penn State in connection with a child sex-abuse scandal involving former coach Jerry Sandusky.
Penn State wants to put the case on hold while criminal charges are pending against two school administrators.
Trial for athletic director Tim Curley and vice president Gary Schultz is scheduled for January. They're accused of lying to a grand jury and not reporting suspected child abuse.
McQueary's testimony this summer helped convict Sandusky of child molestation. Sandusky is serving a 30-year minimum sentence.
