Fletcher Cox, Eagles Agree to 6-Year Extension

The long-awaited deal is finally finished.

The Eagles and defensive tackle Fletcher Cox on Monday agreed to a six-year contract extension.

Per ESPN.com's Adam Schefter, the deal is worth $103 million and includes $63 million, the most guaranteed money for a non-quarterback in league history.

The Eagles have rewarded several of their own players (e.g. Brent Celek, Vinny Curry, Sam Bradford, Lane Johnson) with extensions this offseason, but this is the one everyone was waiting for.

Picked 12th overall in the 2012 draft, Cox earned his first career Pro Bowl berth last season after recording career highs in sacks (9.5) and tackles (104, per the team's count). With 22 career sacks, he is currently sixth in team history among interior defensive linemen.
