First Juror Selected in Cop Killer Case

Jury selection is underway just two days after defendant Eric Floyd punched his attorney.

Jury selection resumed Friday in the murder trial of Eric Floyd and Levon T. Warner for the murder of Sgt. Stephen Liczbinski, 39.

The first juror was selected after four days of 'irrational behavior" by Floyd and just two days after he punched his lawyer, William Bowe, in the courtroom -- twice.

Floyd told the judge on Monday that he would rather be executed than be represented by Bowe.

The defendant was not present for the selection, but was permitted to watch on a closed circuit TV from a holding cell, reports the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Floyd, 35, and Warner, 41, could face the death penality if found guilty for the 2008 murder of Sgt. Liczbinski even though neither man fired the shots that killed the officer.

The gunman, Howard Cain, was killed by police, according to authorities.
