Fire officials say a firefighter fell down an elevator shaft this afternoon during a smoke investigation in Montgomery County.
The incident happened around 5 p.m. at a building located at 310 East High Street in Pottstown.
The firefighter was taken to West Reading Hospital.
There is no word on his condition at this time.
