Fire fighters in Gloucester County contained a fire that broke out at a senior apartment complex Sunday afternoon.
It happened around 4:30 p.m. at the Colonial Park Apartments at 401 S. Evergreen Avenue. The fire broke out in a 4th floor unit on the southside of the complex, according to authorities.
The resident from that apartment and another residents were taken to Underwood Hospital and treated for minor burns and smoke inhalation. About 50 residents were evacuated from the building and taken to Old Frank's nursery next door.
No word yet on what caused the fire.
The Red Cross and emergency management services are assisting residents at a nearby school.
