Fire Rips Through West Philly Store

Firefighters battled a blaze in a West Philadelphia dry cleaners shop early Friday morning.

Crews responded to the fire in the store located on the 4000 block of Lancaster Avenue near Fairmount Avenue in the city's Mantua neighborhood around 1:45 a.m., officials said.

The blaze was under control just after 2:30 a.m..

No one was hurt in the fire.

Authorities closed down a portion of Lancaster Avenue while they continued their investigation.

The closure affected SEPTA's Route 10 trolley line. Shuttle buses operated in both directions for several hours Friday morning, but trolley service resumed around 7 a.m., a spokeswoman said.
