The Delaware State Fire Marshal's office says the fire started early Sunday morning in the 3200 block of Champions Drive in the Fairway Falls community. Fire investigators say it was accidental.

It took nearly two hours to bring the fire under control.

Chief Deputy Fire Marshal Robert Fox says investigators determined the fire started on a rear deck and was caused by charcoal from a grill. The fire burned on the outside of the building into the roof area. It damaged several attached townhouses.

Fox says high winds fueled the blaze.

No one was injured. The Red Cross is assisting residents who were displaced.
