Find a Donkey, Win Prizes: PHLDNC's New Scavenger Hunt

Find donkey statues around Philadelphia, win a cheesesteak or tickets to major sports teams' games. That's the promise of a new scavenger hunt announced Wednesday by the Philadelphia 2016 Host Commitee for the Democratic National Convention.

The PHLDNC on Thursday announced the installation of 57 fiberglass donkey statues that are part of the host committee's Donkeys Around Town program, which feature the Democratic party's symbol representing 50 states, five U.S. territories, Washington, D.C., and Democrats Abroad.

Also announced was a scavenger hunt, open to Philadelphia residents and visitors, that includes prizes like tickets to the city's museums, a free cheesesteak and tickets to games by Philadelphia's sports teams.

Using the free app Scavify, users can complete challenges at each donkey status that will be placed throughout the city in sites like the Independence Beer Garden, the Betsy Ross House and One Liberty Observation Deck.
