Father, Son Die in Possible Murder-Suicide

Police in western Pennsylvania say the involvement of a third party is not suspected in the shooting deaths of a man and his mentally disabled son in a Pittsburgh-area home.

Officers in Port Vue were called to the home Tuesday morning and found the bodies of 78-year-old Richard Liposchok and his 52-year-old son, Mickey.

Chief Bryan Myers said both men had at least one gunshot wound. One was found in the front room and the other in the bedroom.

The Allegheny County medical examiner's office plans an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.

Myers, also a family friend, said the elder man had been depressed since his wife's death in November of last year. Neighbors said he had assumed the role of sole caregiver for his son.
