Girl Found, Father Charged After Alleged Abduction

Police say the father was arrested and charged with interfering with custody.

Police say a man and his young daughter have been found after he allegedly abducted her.

On Wednesday, around 4:30 p.m., Angelo Davis Jr., 22, allegedly picked up his 1-year-old daughter Anyla Moore from the Kinder Care located at 35 Broadacres Drive in Gloucester Township, NJ.

Police say the girl’s mother went to the Kinder Care to pick her up shortly before 6 p.m. and was informed that Davis had already taken her. The girl’s mother claimed she has sole custody of the child and that Davis was not authorized to pick her up. The girl’s mother then called Gloucester Township Police.

The mother told police she feels that the child is in danger because Davis has a violent past as well as a history of mental health issues. She also claims he may be abusing drugs.

Police say both the girl and her father were found safe around 10:30 p.m. in Pennsauken, NJ. Davis was arrested and charged with interfering with custody. Police say Anyla will be reunited with her family either later tonight or early Thursday morning.
