Fake Mailman Dupes, Robs Woman

The heist happened at a home in Northeast Philadelphia when a woman answered the door for a man who was dressed as a postal worker

A woman in Northeast Philadelphia answered her door this morning for a guy she thought was the mailman. He turned out to be a robber, forcing his way inside and stealing over $2,000 in cash and jewelry, police tell NBC10.

The victim told police the man was dressed in full postal uniform and wearing a safari hat. He told her he had a package to deliver. That was about 9:30 this morning.

The victim lives in the 1800 block of Nester in the Bustleton neighborhood. The postal worker impersonator fled with the goods. The victim was not hurt.
