Facebook Murder Conspiracy Charges Upheld

A judge has upheld felony charges against a young Philadelphia mother who allegedly used Facebook to find someone to kill her baby's father.

The judge has also approved the murder conspiracy charge filed against the teen who allegedly agreed to carry out the hit for $1,000.

A defense lawyer for 20-year-old London Eley says she was only venting when she posted the message this spring after an argument with her child's father. Police say 18-year-old Timothy Bynum of Darby accepted the offer.

Defense lawyer Gerald Stein says Eley exchanged messages with Bynum for an hour, but never met him. Bynum's lawyer did not immediately return messages.

A judge has upheld murder solicitation and a weapons charge against Eley. Bynum is charged with murder conspiracy and a weapons charge.
