Police continue to search for a missing teenage boy. Brandon Eckert, 16, is believed to have run away from a group home on the 700 block of King Road in West Whiteland Township. He was last seen at the home at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
The FBI, Pennsylvania State Police, MIRT, Chester County Detectives and the Pennsylvania Game Commission have all joined the West Whiteland Township Police Department in the search.
Eckert is diagnosed as mentally impaired and has other mental health disorders, according to investigators. The group home where he lived is for people with emotional and/or developmental disorders. Investigators say he has not taken his medication since leaving the home and may be confused and/or agitated as a result.
Eckert is described as a white male standing at 5-foot-7 and weighing 200 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing faded jeans, socks and thin-framed glasses.
