#PopeInPhilly Hype Video Needs Extras, Needs Dudes

Free tomorrow? Own a piece of luggage and a biz-cash wardrobe?

Well get hyped, because VisitPhilly (and, by extension, Pope Francis), wants you! The city tourism agency put out a casting call last night, looking for extras for a production "aimed at building excitement" about the upcoming papal visit. They need 50 extras, and are low on men right now.

And! There's pizza!

VisitPhilly.com's Courtney Smyth gave us the details:

Date/Time: Wednesday, September 2, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (A pizza lunch will be provided from 12 to 1 p.m.) Please arrive at 10:45 a.m.

Location: Marriott Hotel at The Navy Yard - 1001 Intrepid Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19112

Attire: Please dress in business casual attire. No super high heels, sneakers, sweatshirts, baggy clothing, ripped jeans, or shirts with logos or sayings on them. Hair and make up should be casual and professional. Please bring a piece of luggage with you as a prop, as if you were actually staying over at a hotel for the weekend. Please show up ready to film, there will be no time for changing in to clothes or doing hair or make up. We will have a hair stylist and make up artist on location for some touch ups for the second half of the day.

We are looking for all ages and races, however we are in need of more male volunteers at this point. We are looking for 50 volunteers total, and while we have about 30 confirmed right now, we know that some people are likely to not show up so there are still plenty of open spots. We are only looking for extras and background people, there are no opportunities for speaking roles, so no acting experience is required. Volunteers must be available to participate for the entire allotted time. Please have anyone interested in participating contact us at photos@visitphilly.com.

So, dress like you're going to Mass, bring the bag you haven't unpacked from last weekend's Shore trip, get a dispensation from work (see what we did there?) and come down to the Navy Yard ready to give good face for Francis.
