Ex-Del. Beauty Queen Cited for Theft and Alcohol: Police

The arrests warrants were issued in Maryland

An 18-year-old woman who resigned as Miss Delaware Teen USA this week is the subject of two arrest warrants in Maryland.

Ocean City police confirmed Friday that warrants were issued last year for Melissa King after she failed to appear in court on citations for theft and underage possession of alcohol.

Authorities said King was cited last June for allegedly stealing money from a city bus fare box. She was cited in August on the alcohol charge. A warrant in the theft case was issued in August, followed by an October warrant on the alcohol charges.

King resigned her crown after an online sex video featuring a girl that allegedly looks and sounds like King surfaced, reported Delaware Online.

Pageant spokesperson Dara Busch of Rubenstein Public Relations confirmed to NBC10 that King handed in her letter of resignation amid reports that King was involved in an online porn video. Busch says that King hasn’t admitted that she is actually the woman in the video.

King's attorney did not immediately respond to messages seeking comment Friday.
