Ex-Chief: Penn State VP Didn't Come to Police in '02

Former chief of the Penn State police department says Gary Schultz didn't tell him anything about Sandusky allegations

The former chief of the Penn State police department says the administrator in charge of the police force didn't tell him about an allegation that Jerry Sandusky molested a boy on campus in 2002.

Thomas Harmon says university vice president Gary Schultz knew of a 1998 allegation that Jerry Sandusky had showered with a boy. But Harmon says Schultz didn't come to him with the 2002 report from Penn State assistant football coach Mike McQueary.

Harmon and McQueary testified Friday in a hearing that will determine whether charges Schultz and another top school official can move toward trial.

Schultz and Tim Curley are accused of lying to a grand jury and failing to properly respond when a McQueary told them he'd witnessed Sandusky with a boy.
