Fire Alarm Leads to Prisoners' Escape

A fire alarm was used as a diversion as two prisoners made a run for it over the weekend.

And, the search for both men continued Monday after they escaped from a correctional facility in Berks County, Pa.

Authorities say the men left the Wernersville Community Correction Center around 4:45 p.m. Saturday after someone pulled a fire alarm to create a distraction. Now, police are searching for the pair, identified as 26-year-old Shaun Patrick Kubacki and 25-year-old Oscar Tim Robinson.

Warrants have been issued for their arrest.

Kubacki had been incarcerated on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His last known address is in Reading, Pa. Robinson had been in custody on charges of giving false identification to law enforcement. His last known address is in Harrisburg, Pa.

The Wernersville Community Correction Center is a type of half-way house located on Main Street in Wernersville, Pa.
