South Jersey Sprinter English Gardner Going to Olympics After Winning 100-Meter Dash

A South Jersey sprinter is heading to the Olympics! 

English Gardner finished in first place in the 100-meter dash with a personal best time of 10.74 seconds Sunday night during the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials. The 24-year-old sprinter was incredibly emotional after the win, repeatedly thanking Jesus as she fell to her knees.

Gardner was born in Voorhees Township, New Jersey and attended Eastern Regional High School. She then attended the University of Oregon where she won the Pac-10 Championships.She also won national titles in the 100-meter dash in the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships as well as the NCAA Women's Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships in 2012 and 2013.
