Authorities say three shootings in different Philadelphia neighborhoods left one person dead and seven others wounded in a matter of hours on Easter Sunday.
Police say officers in North Philadelphia found a 37-year-old man lying on Cecil B. Moore Avenue next to a car with a gunshot wound to the chest Sunday night around 10:30. He died just after midnight at a hospital. A 27-year-old man found in the car was critically wounded.
Police say someone firing from a Nissan Altima Sunday night around 10 wounded four people outside a Grays Ferry takeout restaurant along South 31st Street. A 36-year-old woman was struck in the elbow; and a 16-year-old girl, 18-year-old woman and 23-year-old man were struck in the legs.
Earlier, a 23-year-old and 22-year-old were shot multiple times along S 49th Street in West Philadelphia Sunday afternoon around 2:25.
No arrests have been reported in any of the shootings.
