Dominic Zaffino may be a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, but they are bigger fans of his. The team chose the 10-year-old to feature in the latest 'Road to Victory' profile.[[364428601, C]]
10-year-old Dominic from Hatfield gained national attention back in March after posting a heartfelt message to "haters" on his instagram account.
The Montgomery County boy is a cancer survivor whose growth was stunted due to more than three years of chemotherapy.
"I'll never forget our doctor's face. He sat down and looked at us and said, Dominic has cancer," Gemma Zaffino told the Philadelphia Eagles of the day the family found out about Dominic's diagnosis.
As Dominic got older, kids began picking on him, but he took the high road by speaking directly to bullies via his instagram account and his post picked up national attention.
"I that everything happens for a reason in this world and God put me down on this Earth to do something very special," Dominic said.
