A woman is in the hospital after a car accident in Montgomery County.
Police say the woman was driving on Fitzwatertown Road in Upper Moreland when she somehow lost control of her vehicle. The car swerved off the roadway and fell into a nearby pond.
The Willow Grove Volunteer Fire Department arrived at the scene and rescued the woman who was transported to Abington Hospital for treatment. She was the only person inside the vehicle, according to investigators.
The road between York and Mansfield will be closed for an undetermined amount of time.
No word yet on the woman's condition.
