Driver Points Gun at Bicyclists in Bucks County Road Rage Incident

A Bucks County man pointed a semi-automatic handgun at two bicyclists after they yelled at him for nearly hitting them on Route 32 Saturday afternoon, police said.

The bicyclists were traveling south on Route 32 near Laurel Road in Solebury Township around 11:30 a.m. when a Jeep nearly struck one of the riders, according to Solebury Township Police.

After the near-accident, one of the bicyclists yelled at the 40-year-old driver -- who threw his Jeep into reverse and then pulled out a gun and pointed it at one of them, authorities said.

A description of the vehicle led police to track down the Jeep near Route 232 and Aquetong Road.

Police conducted a traffic stop, and recovered the gun and arrested the driver, of Erwinna, Pa.

The man is facing criminal charges.
