Vetri, Drexel Set Opening Date For Pay-What-You-Can Restaurant

Chef Marc Vetri and Drexel University have set the opening date for what they're calling the city's first pay-what-you-can restaurant.

About 25 percent of Philadelphia's population doesn't have access to affordable food, according to Drexel University, so in partnership with Chef Marc Vetri, the university will open a restaurant concept called EAT Café that will fill that need and allow guests to pay what they can.

EAT Café, or Everyone at the Table Café, located at 3820 Lancaster Ave. in University City, will open on Oct. 26 at 11 a.m.
