Local pharmacist arrested for illegally selling meds

Lansdale pharmacist Vasilios Katogiritis was arrested on November 18 for allegedly selling prescription drugs out of the back of a van, according to Cheltenham Police Tuesday.

Undercover authorities picked up Katogiritis in Cheltenham, Pa. after an informant notified them of the operation.

This is not the first time Katogiritis has had a run-in with the law. He was arrested in April 2008 for the same offense. On April 26, he was pulled over in a Mercury Sable for a burned out break light and was arrested after Cheltenham Police found over 922 prescription pills including Adderall, Oxycodone, Morphine and Viagra.

The deviant doctor of pharmacy was also involved in a murder investigation in Clearwater, Florida, but was never convicted.

Katogiritis is being held on $25,000 bail. The Montgomery County DA’s office is seeking to increase the total.
