Is This Man Connected to Pharmacist's Murder?

Police release surveillance video of an alleged pharmacy robber, hoping to find out if he's connected to

Trenton police released surveillance video of an alleged serial pharmacy robber on Thursday, hoping to find out if he is connected to the recent murder of Sri Arjan Reddy Dyapa.

Dyapa was gunned down on April 25 inside the Brunswick Pharmacy he'd run for 16 years.

The man you see in the surveillance video is responsible for eight pharmacy robberies, according to police. On the same night that Dyapa was killed, twenty minutes earlier, the surveillance video shows the man, who police are not calling a suspect, but a person of interest, trying to get buzzed into a pharmacy about four miles away in the 1600 block of South Broad Street.  When he isn't let inside, he walks away.

Dyapa's Brunswick Pharmacy has been robbed at least three times in the past year or so, according to police. The victim's wife said despite past troubles, Dyapa was committed to Trenton.

"He worked so hard. He came to work every day," said Geeta Madadi.

Community members are also asking the public to help police catch Dyapa's killer.

"It's going to be a great loss for the community. He helped everybody he could help. Even those without insurance, he helped," said another Trenton merchant, Michael Greenfield.
