Deliberation Day 4 in NJ Baby Bridge Death

Shamsidden Abdur-Raheem is charged in the death of his 3-month-old daughter

Jury deliberations are scheduled to continue for a fourth day Friday in the murder trial of a man accused of throwing his infant daughter off a New Jersey bridge.

Shamsidden Abdur-Raheem is charged in the death of 3-month-old Zara Malani-Lin Abdur-Raheem.

The jury deliberated until late afternoon Thursday, asking a judge for clarification throughout the day on different charges.

Prosecutors say Abdur-Raheem abducted his daughter from her maternal grandmother's East Orange apartment in February 2010, fled with the baby, and dropped the child from the Driscoll Bridge into the Raritan River.

Her body was found weeks later.

The girl's mother had sole custody and had left the baby in her mother's care while she sought a restraining order against Abdur-Raheem.

The case is in Superior Court in New Brunswick.
