Delco Couple Brings Son to Buy Crack: Cops

Police have arrested a Delaware County couple after a traffic stop early Wednesday morning.

Lansdowne police say that the couple brought their 6-year-old son out in the middle of the night and then proceeded to buy drugs, including crack cocaine, according to the Delaware County Daily Times.

A car driven by John Wesley Patrick, 49, was stopped near their home in Lansdowne for a traffic violation.

In the car with him was wife Alexia Ursula Patrick, 43, and the couple’s son.

Lansdowne Police Chief Dan Kortan tells NBC Philadelphia that John Patrick gave police fake information during the stop. He also refused a blood alcohol test.

He was arrested for driving under the influence.

Alexia Ursula was arrested after police found pills and crack, according to the paper.

Police say they were told that the boy has trouble sleeping and that's why the family went out for a ride.

Husband and wife are in jail awaiting their preliminary hearing.

There is no word on who is taking care of their son.
