Delaware Man Walking His Dog Killed by Car

A Delaware man has been killed while out on a walk with his dog.

Delaware State Police said Tuesday that 55-year-old David Bilow was walking with his Labrador mix around 7 p.m. Monday in Camden when he was struck.

Police say Bilow was in a clearly marked crosswalk when a car hit him, throwing him onto the vehicle and then into the roadway. He died three hours later at a hospital.

Police say the driver of the car, 18-year-old Kyle Tieman, didn't see Bilow because a car had turned in front of him after allowing Bilow to cross. An investigation into the crash is ongoing. No charges have been filed.

Police say Bilow's dog ran home after his owner was hit and was later treated for undetermined injuries.
