Man Threatens Delaware High School With Bomb, Guns

State police searched for answers after the same man threatened to blow up and shoot up a Delaware high school Wednesday morning.

The suspect called the main office of John Dickinson High School in Wilmington around 8:10 a.m. saying he was on his way to the school to blow up a bomb, said Delaware State Police.

About three minutes later, the same suspect called Wilmington Police to alert them that he was on his way to the school on Milltown Road armed with guns, said police.

School officials quickly locked down the school as state police K-9s responded to search the premises.

Police didn’t find any signs of a bomb in the building and the lockdown was lifted shortly after 10 a.m., said police.

Luckily, no one was hurt.

Police asked anyone with information about the incident to contact Troop 6 at 302-633-5000 or submit a tip online or by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
