3-Year-Old Injured After Being Hit by SUV: Police

Police say a 3-year-old Pennsylvania boy was injured when he was hit by an SUV as he crossed a street in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.

Media outlets report that Rehoboth Beach Police say the boy was walking in a crosswalk with his father and 6-year-old brother at an intersection on Tuesday when he was knocked to the ground by a Jeep Limited preparing to turn left.

Police say the 3-year-old was taken to Beebe Healthcare with non-life threatening injuries. His father and older brother were not struck.

Police say the driver of the SUV, 62-year-old Donna Summy, of Harrisonburg, Virginia, was issued a traffic citation for failing to yield the right of way to a pedestrian in a crosswalk and no proof of insurance.
