Delaware to Host Annual Apple-Scrapple Festival

A small town in Delaware is hosting its 26th annual festival to celebrate an under-appreciated breakfast meat: scrapple.

The Apple-Scrapple Festival will be held Friday and Saturday in Bridgeville. The festival pays homage to apples and scrapple _ a breakfast meat made with pig parts and cornmeal.

Delaware is the largest scrapple producer in the world. Bridgeville's RAPA Scrapple plant has been in the town since 1926.

The festival will include a carnival, food court, street dance and "all you can eat'' scrapple breakfast.
