Delaware State Police say two robbers ripped a cash register from the counter in a tobacco store in Claymont and took off with it.
Police say the men wearing white t-shirts over their faces entered the Tobacco Express store in Northtowne Plaza on Friday night and demanded cash.
But Sgt. Paul Shavack says when the clerk couldn't open the register, the men pulled the register free from its wires and fled on foot with it.
Shavack says no one was injured.
