Get a designated driver

State officials say there will be four sobriety checkpoints between Friday and Saturday.

The state Office of Highway Safety said in a news release that on Friday, the checkpoints will be in Rehoboth and Clayton. On Saturday, there will be checkpoints in Newport and in Millsboro. Authorities say the checkpoints will be supplemented with 90 extra DUI saturation patrols by state, county and city police.

Officials say 20 people were arrested last year for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs on New Year's Eve.
