A 33-year-old Delaware man walked to an off-duty state trooper's home 6 a.m. Sunday and told the officer that he "had done something wrong," police say.
Delaware State Police say 33-year-old Felipe Gomez of Milton has been charged with kidnapping and rape after turning himself into authorities.
Police say Gomez went to his ex-girlfriend's home Saturday night, and became angry because she was not there.
Authorities say he held a knife to the throat of a 22-year-old woman who also lives in the home, tied her up and forced her into the backseat of her car.
Police say Gomez drove to a field in the area, where he sexually assaulted the woman repeatedly. Authorities say Gomez walked to the home of an off-duty state trooper the next morning and told him he had done something wrong. The woman also came to the trooper's home.
Gomez is being held on a bail of $1.2 million.
